Networking on Windows XP Home Edition

I have 3 workstations using Windows XP Home Edition. I
have setup a workgroup, and shared printers and files.
File and Print shareing is active, Client for Microsoft
networks is active, and the tcp/ip protocol is active.
All of the workstations are connected thru a Lynksys
router. All of the workstations can get out to the
internet. All of the workstations are using DHCP for the
IP configuration.

The problem is that none of the workstations in the
workgroup can see each other or any of the shared devices
or files.

In a Workgroup, you need to create user accounts and passwords that are
identical on all computers that will share files/folders.

Turn off all the windows firewalls and give it a try

You may have to 'force' a connection/recognition here and there by using Add
Network Place wizard. Turning off the windows firewalls is the only way my
D-Link wireless system will work worth a darn.
