I have attempted to network 2 home PC's with limited success.
Main PC has XP home. Second PC has XP Pro. Both PC's have proper access to
the Internet through a Wireless high speed Router and Broadband Modem.
Second PC can see and access Main PC, and has all printing functionality and
file access onto Main PC. The issue is that the Main PC cannot access files
on the Second PC. In Network Places, Main PC recognises the home network and
workgroup, and can see the Second PC by name, but cannot access Second PC.
The error I am getting is "You do not have permissions to access Second PC".
I have confirmed that both PC's are in the same Workgroup, File sharing
settings are the same on both PC's. I have also switched off and uninstalled
Mcaffee Firewall on Second PC, and am still getting the permission error.
Anyone any ideas please.
Thanks,
Steve
