Networking and Remote Access in Active Dir.

Mike

Hi,

I have an active directory LAN with Windows 2000 Server.
I have two Servers in this Network connected to the
outside world with a channelized T1 (8 Channels). We are
going to have another branch office else where and I
wanted to know what would be the most cost effective way
to implement this and let users connect to the main
office and access applications. I know that Citrix Server
is one way of letting users to access applications
remotely but my boss doesn't want to apen that much and
is asking me to come up with a cost efffective solution.
Is there any in terms of remote connectivity and
accessing application?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Regards,

Mike

Hi Mike,

Well you could accomplish this using native Windows 2000 Server components:

1. VPN - Set up an RRAS/VPN connection between the sites
2. Set up terminal services for the the users to run the applications.

Easy and inexpenisve.

Thanks,
Marc Reynolds
