Network Setup Wizard Problems

Justin

I have been having problems with my Network Setup Wizard.
It does not want to start up. When I goto Start --
Programs -- Accessories -- Communications -- Network
Setup Wizard it doesn't do anything. I look at my
processes and rundll32 is running at 32 % for like 2 - 3
sec and then it goes away. I also tried running it from
my Windows XP CD and the same thing happened. This has
been doing this since I reformatted my computer and it
wasn't a big problem at first but now that I want to set
up a new connection for my wireless g , I really need
help. How can I fix this? Is there a way around it so I
can setup a connection using my LinkSys Wireless G for
Windows XP home.

I've got the same problem and unfortunately this didn't
work. My Network Connection services are started and I
tweaked around the registry like 329441 says and I
reinstalled sp1 and nothing. Any other ideas.

Gentlemen,
(Paste from Mr. Steve Winograd this NG)

"Here's what the Wizard would do on XP if it
ran. Make the same settings manually:"

1. Set the computer name, computer description, and workgroup name
that you specify.

2. Share any printers connected to the computer.

3. Create the "Shared Documents" folder if it doesn't exist.

4. Share the "Shared Documents" folder.

5. Configure the local area network connection to obtain an IP
address automatically.
