Network Setup Spooler SubsystemApp Error

D

Dick

When running the network setup wizard, I get an error
that says "Spooler SubSytem App has encountered a problem
and needs to close". The process does not succesfully
complete, and I am unable to complete the nework setup.
The details of the message references a file named
spoolsv.exe.mdmp, which is to be found in a temp file.

Any suggestions?

Greetings Dick,

First, take a look at the following MS KB article before following these
instructions. Try stopping the spooler service before setting up the home
network. Here's what you do.

1. Open a command prompt window.

2. Stop the spooler service and type "net stop spooler" (without quotes) and hit the
ENTER key.

3. Then setup the network. After you finish then you can restart the service.

NOTE: You can restart the spooler service by typing "net start spooler"
(without quotes) or rebooting the machine.

Here's the MS KB Article:

Spooler Subsystem App Has Encountered a Problem and Needs to Close" and
"Operation Could Not Be Completed" Error Messages
http://support.microsoft.com/?scid=324757

Let us know how it works.
