I’ve created a small network where I have two desktops, one laptop and one
router connected via a 5-positions switch. The first computer is running
WServer 2003 with active domain. The others (clients) are connected to this
domain.
The problem is that I need this schema periodically only for educational
reasons, so in regular circumstances I work with my desktop that is connected
to the internet directly via a router (adsl con.). The problem is that when I
configure the clients to the network domain then all the computers cannot
ping to the router address, which means that I don’t have access to the
internet and in order to confront this malfunction I have to run again the
network setup wizard and to shut down the machine many times in order to
‘see’ the router’s ip address while the same time I cannot ping the server.
