network security key-HELP

I had a new roomate move in and wea trying to get him wireless access but th
password the router saved wasnt working... then i erased my saved one!! Now i
have no wireless because it says my network security password is incorrect!
how do i reset this password??? please help

Hi plumpkin6,

Refer to the instruction manual that came with your router. You will
probably need to make a direct connection to your router in order to reset
your password. If that doesn't work, then you may need to reset your router
to its factory default condition. Please note that if you do so, you may need
to reconfigure it so that you are able to connect to the Internet. If you are
able to connect via a wired connection, then I suggest that you make a backup
of the configuration data so that if you do need to reset your router you
will be able to restore it quickly afterwards. The important thing is not to
panic, but to refer to the manual and take one step at a time. Don't forget
to enable security. Use WEP as a minimum, but if your router supports WPA2
then use that instead.
