Network problems

Bought a new boot drive and wireless router and everything works great except
I can not get my network back up. Both desktop and laptap can get online. The
desktop sees the laptop, but the laptop cannot see the desktop. When trying
to access the laptop from the desktop it said I had to get admin to grant
access. I have verified that they are in the same workgroup. Both systems run
PC-cillin and the windows firewall is down on both and ip addresses are
trusted on both computers. I need to get these computers to talk to each
other for music and printer sharing. Anyone have any ideas?
