Hi all,

Our situation; win2k (SP3) (SBS2000) is DC,clients OS xp pro,win2k pro,win98
SE.

Problem:Our dial-up user (OS:win98 SE) connecet via RAS (DC win2k) to LAN
succesfully but, after 1-2 hour later LAN users and dial up users can't see
on your Network Neighborns window any pc only can see the dial up user...

After RAS connection take DC a new IP, from DHCP (is it normal ?)

I have checked after connections DNS & WINS records on DC, there is new IP
record for domain name an for DC
When I stopping the RAS service, after 1-2 hours working Network Neighborns
window any pc succesfully.

We can resolve this problem.

Thanks!

Note:Excuse me for my language.

This is a known problem when you use your DC as a remote access server.
As soon a s a remote user connects, the server becomes multihomed. This
causes problems with name resolution and browsing (because the DC now has
multiple IP addresses).

See KB 292822 and 830063 .
