Network password requests

Just recently I have been getting periodic requests to enter a network
password although I do not have any computers networked. I did try to set up
one about 6 months ago but did not do it right and stop the setup. The
request comes up about every 10 minutes. I have done a number of AV and
Malware scans, all have been negative. I have also blocked the WiFi
connection in the router.
I was wondering if I may have left something behind when I cancelled the
Network setup wizard.
Can anyone tell me how to stop this appearing?

Getting requests from what? Windows or a program? What are you doing when
you get the request? Please quote the request exactly, without
paraphrasing. Also tell us what version of XP you have and your Service
Pack level.

Thanks for the reply. The requests that were appearing were the normal
loggin boxes you have with XP It had my POP3 address followed by my email
address.
I believe I may have found the problem though. I have turned off a second
email that came with my BT account, (a BT Yahoo address). This seems to have
stopped the requests.
Thanks for your time anyway.

Glad you got it sorted. Thanks for updating the thread.
