Network database file

Everytime I try to add or delete a static route using command line I get an
error stating unable to add/delete network database file not found for
10.0.1.0(whatever route I am entering) What does this mean and will it be
causing my routing problems.. Also what is network manager protocol and how
do I stop it updating my routing table. Any ideas?

The Network Management routes are those provided by the local or DHCP. For
example the network route for a local interface is a Network Management
route. If you were to get routes added by DHCP using Option 033 , then
these are also network Management routes. The only way to really override
them is to create more specific routes, or use lower metrics.

I am not sure what the issue is though with you being unable to add / delete
a route. Are you using Route.exe or RRASMgmt.msc to add the route?
