Network Card replacement on w2k Cluster

Anybody done this recently and what is the best method
without breaking the cluster. I want to use a Fibre
Gigabit NIC instead of a Copper 100\Full NIC in both
cluster nodes. Both cards are in the nodes and now i want
to make the switch to the Gigabit card to use it for
public access to the Virtual machines. Exchange 2003 and
file\print run on the cluster balanced across nodes. What
is simplest way to do the change ? I want to keep the
same ip address.

Wish we could say there's an clean and easy way of doing this, but there's
not. See if article listed below 267548 shed's some light over the matter.

Keep in mind, it would be best to leave the Private "Heartbeat" NIC 100\Full
Duplex as per article listed below 258750.

Did the replacement last night. Easier than i had 1st
thought. moved cluster resources to one node took offline
important virtual machines e.g. file\print & Exchange.
Other node Set Cluster service to manual (not sure i
really needed to do this but) disabled old nic cleared ip
settings input ip settings on gigabit fibre card enabled.
Cluster services renames card to correct name restarted
server. Server up did ping test started cluster service
moved cluster groups brought online successfully. set
cluster to automatic. Did the same on other node. Not so
difficult.

Thank you for the reply.
