My Xp workstation is a member of the IES domain. I have
several Window2000 server that belong to the WORPGROUP
workgroup. When browsing from Entire Network I see the
IES domain and can brows it. I also see the WORKGROUP but
when I try to access it I get the error

Workgroup is not accessible. You might not have
permission to use this network resources. Contact the
administrator of this server to find out if you have
permissions. The list of servers for this workgroup in
not currenty available.

I can ping the servers in the workgroup.

Why can't I browse this worked under Windows2000?

your xp workstation is its own domain. you have to grant it permissions on
the win2k machine.

I have the same problem. I have a net of win95 and ME all
using workgoup, and working fine. trying to install 2 new
XPs. checked workgoup names and they all match, but when
I click "View workgroup computers" I get that same error.
There is an artical in the Knowledge base (318030)that
describes the problem but the fix does not work. What do
you mean "you have to grant it permissions on
the win2k machine"? Workgroups don't use servers do they?

.
Call the workgroup something other than WORKGROUP.
