Netscape 8.0 installation kills IE6 XSL transformations

I maintain a public service website that depends on XSL transformations,
http://www.cvkimball.com/Tanach/Tanach.xml. Thursday, 19 May, I downloaded
Netscape 8.0. Afterwards, IE6 (and the Avant browser) failed to perform XSL
transformations on my site, yielding a blank page with no warnings. Firefox,
Mozilla, and Netscape continued to perform the transformations. I unloaded
Netscape 8.0 (and Firefox, Mozilla, too), still no transformations. I
reloaded IE6 following Article ID 257249. Still no XSL transformations in
IE6. Now I must use Firefox to see my site!

How do I get my reliable IE6 doing XSL transformations again?

I have the same problem on my machine. Things were fine before installing
Netscape 8.0.

What version(s) of XML support do you have?

Reregister (or reinstall) MSXML4.0?

I installed MSXML 4.0, rebooted and still have no luck. I ran the filemon
utility and it says that it's still using msxml3.dll, not msxml4.dll. If
MSXML 4.0 is the solution, how do I get it to be honored by IE?

MSXML4 was a guess.

In that case I would try the same thing with MSXML3.

BTW notice that others were able to back out the changes on XP
using its System Restore facility. (See recent thread by Cybarber.)
