But the point is you did not read the article. The early release on
Thursday morning was based on Firefox 1.0.3 and Netscape quickly updated
the download version with the Firefox 1.0.4 security fix and that is what
is now available.

It is also a very real fact that there are fewer security and privacy
risks in Opera 8.00, Firefox 1.0.4, and now Netscape 8.0.1.

I love Opera.. now if I could get it to recognize and work with my Biometric
Fingerprint Scanner from APC I'd be a happy camper..

Then, if you think you have made some valid point, give me an example of
any software that has ever been produced that didn't have a defect!

No such software has ever existed, and probably never will! So, your
point is absolutely pointless!

MS Windows Millenium Edition.. it was Designed to BSOD.. therefore Ipso
Facto it was not a defect, merely an undocumented feature.

No - actually my information is not out of date - it is still correct - the
first security patches have been released since the initial release.
Sadly (predictably some would argue) only a short time after the browswer
was released to the public.

Gee just like IE !!
Not to mention that is why I pointed to the article... If it can have
defects on day 1... it will have defects on day 500.

Just like IE !
Just proving there is no perfect browser... After all, if there was - then
there would have been no point in Netscape still trying in the first place.
heh

Did some one say it was perfect ? I must have missed it.
