I am attempting to script automatic joining to the
corporate domain using netdom for our Windows 2000 Pro
sysprep image. I am successful doing this with Windows XP
Pro, but everytime the script runs, I receive the error
<Title> "Netdom.exe - Entry point not found"
<Body> "The procedure entry point
NetAddAltenateComputerName could not be located in the
dynamic link library NETAPI32.dll" Any suggestions?

Are you using netdom.exe version 2.0 or version 1.x?

Hi

This error indicates that you are using the Netdom.exe that comes with WinXP
(in the Support Tools kit), it will not work in Win2k.

If you want do use a netdom.exe that works on both Win2k and WinXP,
use the one that comes with Windows Server 2003 (in the Support Tools kit).

Alternatively, the latest version of Netdom.exe for Win2k can be downloaded
from here:

Windows 2000 SP4 Support Tools
http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000/downloads/servicepacks/sp4/supporttools.asp

(it should work fine on pre SP4 computers as well).
