.net framework 1.1

hello

downloaded .net framework 1.1 from microsoft site , and
now i have to log in everytime i boot up or restart my
windows xp.

are there anyway to fix it where i do not have to log
in , or to uninstall .net framework.

it did not show up in my add/remove

To configure autologon:

Click [Start] [Run] and type
control userpasswords2
Click [OK]
The [User Accounts] Property Sheet displays.
On [Users] tab, clear the [Users must enter a user name and password
to use this computer] check box.
Click [Apply].
Enter a user name and password that should be used to logon
automatically in the dialog box that appears.
Click [OK].
Go to [Control Panel] [User Accounts] [Change the Way Users Log On and
Off].
Uncheck [Use the Welcome Screen] and [Use Fast User Switching]


or alternatively you can use Tweak UI:

Download TweakUI from
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp and
when installed go to Programs>Powertoys for Windows XP>Tweak UI
- then go to Logon>Autologon.

Hello Larry,
A service pack is now available for .NET 1.1.
I too had this problem that you mention, but after downloading and
installing SP1 for .NET 1.1 the ASP.net machine account ( that is present
when you click on user accounts ) was no longer there! I got the update
here:-
