I am blessed with being forced to use Excel 97. Don't laugh. The data I am trying to pull a report from is recording :
date of First inspection
Compliance Status
Date of second Inspection
Compliance Status
Date of third Inspection
Compliance status.
The report required is as follows.
Month 1st Insp Compliant Major non-compliance Minor Non
Jan 69 28 36 5
Feb 133 51 52 30
Counting the number of inspections is easy. The problem arises when trying to count the number of inspections -In January-which are compliant, and those in January which are Major non compliance, and those in January that are minor non compliance.. The counting within dates is eluding me.
I have tried various options..
=COUNT('Raw Data'!E:E,"Compliant",IF('Raw Data'!D
, ">31/Dec/2007",IF('Raw Data'!D,"<01/Feb/2008")))
=COUNTIF('Raw Data'!E:E,"Compliant")(IF('Raw Data'!D,">31/Dec/2007")IF('Raw Data'!D,"<01/Feb/2008"))
Just can't make it happen. Nesting within Excel97 is driving me bonkers. Any assistance anyone is able to offer would be hugely appreciated.
