Just wondering if any one has been the guinea pig :)

This applies to Windows NT 6.0 build 5600 ( Vista Release Candidate 1 )_:

Nero full / Nero Express does not work in any Version 6.x and 7.x
(verified )
Daemon Tools ( tested and verified )and other Virtual Cd-Drives are not
supported in general with Windows 6.0 and will not install or cause
driver-issues/BSODs and error-logs.

( this has to do with Anti-Piracy and DRM hardened features built deeply
into Vistas Core , also because Alcohol or related programs try to install
SCSI-adapters that are not digitally signed by Microsoft and SCSI in general
is not that far supported in Vista.. like other "legacy" hardware, too -
Vista doesn't support ISA and old gameports MIDI-Interfaces and so on.. )

Burning programs that do not have some virtual drive options run fine, like
ImgBurn for example. Also the built in Burning feature in WMP11 works fine
for me, and it also burns Data-Discs or mixed contents.

What Nod32 is I don't know, but sounds like some Norton stuff and this is
not supported / not working, Norton Disk / Partition Magic / Antivirus
/System works etc.. do not run in RC1 as other users have reported .

Nod32 is an Anti-Virus program, and not a Symantec product. It's a good
one.

Works well, version 6.6.1.4, just got message about incompatibility. Nero 7
do not work.

Daemoon tools version 3.33 works perfectly.

OMFG...You just said that NOD32 sounds like a Norton product?!? Did you
REALLY just say that?!? Sacrilege of the WORST kind!!!

No. NOD32 is a competitor of Norton. It's, IMHO, the very best of the AV
utilities out there. They are, currently, working on getting a Vista
version out, but as they said in the interview we did for the show:

"The problem with putting out a release for a Beta of Vista is that we,
technically, will have to have 2 full versions out in a very short time, as
the OS will change enough between the Beta and the final release that it
wouldn't be fair to the consumers to charge them twice for such a thing."

NOD32 for Vista WILL be out, but don't hold your breath until RC1 has taken
hold and looks like it won't need any serious fixing...
