Need Vga Driver

Hi, My brother tried to upgrade his Win XP and accidently
erased VGA file, now he can't get his ATI Radeon card to
work. We tried to reinstall it but it says that we need
to setup vga drivers first, then we can install the ATI
drivers. The file look like this "viaagpi.sys" and it can
not be found anywhere. Thats what it said to install.
Please tell me where can i get vga drivers.??

Try booting into safe mode. That may install any defualt drivers needed.
Then try installing the Radeon drivers.

If that doesn't work, go into device manager and delete all display adaptors
shown. Then reboot.

Try what rory said I hope you have better luck than I did
when I tried to upgrade files I have navidia video and
windows update loaded a driver helper and when I tried to
upgrade at 34 minutes left it would prompt for the VIAAGP1
((one).sys. but I didn't have it. It was unacessable
because update downloaded it and was not on my cds or in
any files you can browse during installation. Good Luck.

First of all, you cant use NVidiot drivers for an ATI card. 2nd, the file
that is missing is the VIA AGP driver, and not part of the ATI driver suite.
The OP needs to install the latest VIA4in1 drivers.
