Need to stop checkdisk on startup

J

Jan

Checkdisk is running on startup and I need to know how to
stop it. Everything appears to be as ok as it can be and
the check doesn't finnish. It's just making a nuisance of
itself.
I need to get a normal startup and for someone to tell me
how to manually run the checkdisk. Maybe after running
Enditall.
I recently upgraded from ME and my file system is FAT32.
I don't think XP quite likes that
Thanks

Jan;
I have FAT32 also. I also had this problem. I got it fixed.

Go here:

Click the "C"
Scroll down to: Check Disk - Disk Checking Runs Upon Boot
=============
Scandisk is now Error-checking (chkdisk).
Open My Computer, double-click the My Computer icon on the desktop.
Right click your hard drive | Properties.
On the Tools tab, under Error-checking, click Check Now.
Under Check disk options, check both boxes.
You have to reboot for Error-checking to run.
