Need to remove domain server security blocks

Does anyone have an idea how to do this? I work at home and changed
companies. The old contract put security in place from the domain server. The
new contract needs access to my computer to install software. I need to
remove the security parameters set by the old company. I can, of course,
scrub the drive and reinstall the operating system, but would like to avoid
it.

I think you need to give us some more info. Your "Contract" put security in
place? What type of security? Are you talking about Group Policies, or a
firewall? I take it you connect from home through a VPN? Unless you have
admin rights, you probably won't be able to remove "secuirty prarameters".

Group policies. I work from home and did connect through VPN. I have removed
their proprietary software. I have admin rights on the computer itself, but I
am not certain how to or even if I can remove group policy security settings.

OK, admin rights to the computer you're on is one thing. If you're connecting
through a VPN, you're hitting another server on the internal corporate
network. If you don't have admin rights to that server, you won't be able to
change Group Policies. You'll need to ask an Admin.
Besides, Group Policies quickly become very complex. Depending on which GP
you want to remove, if there are other policies before it or after it in the
list, removing one policy will have long reaching effects in other places,
and you could very easily make a huge mess, and possibly get yourself in
trouble. Ask an Admin, and it cannot be stressed enough, "BE VERY CAREFUL".

What exactly do you want to remove and why?

The problem that exists is that the IS people at the new contract need to
access my system to install software and remove software that may interfere
with their programs. They are able to access the system, but get a black
screen for the desktop. They are not able to access the software programs. I
need to remove that block.

"security in place from the domain server" implies that your machine was
joined to their domain and it received GPO settings, some of which remain
regardless of your local vs. domain account login. Was the machine disjoined
form the domain? Look at My Computer->properties->computer name tab. Is
your computer name a fully qualified domain name (e.g.,
mymachinename.theirdomainname.com.) with a domain listed, or is your computer
name a netbios name (e.g., mymachinename) with a domain of WORKGROUP listed?
If your machine is still in their domain, select the Change... button and
change the radio button choice to "member of Workgroup" (call it WORKGROUP).
You will be prompted to enter credentials of a user with administrative
rights - enter as: mymachinename\myusername, where myusername is an account
with LOCAL machine admin priveleges. Restart the machine when prompted and
recheck your apparent security blocking. Good luck.
