Need to re-install XP Home

My hard disk has failed so I need to fit a replacement. I have backups of
just about everything .... apart from XP Home, which was pre-loaded on my
computer. I have a valid COA and a valid product code, but no CD. How can I
re-activate XP Home legally without incurring the cost of a full XP package?

PS I found out about backing up the system itself AFTER my HDD failed...

You'll have to contact the manufacturer of your computer
and request their Windows XP Recovery or Reinstallation CD.
Your Product Key is only valid with their preinstalled version
of Windows XP.

I feel your pain - I lost 3 years of data the same way when my backup drive
failed during a reinstall on my primary drive!

I use SyncBackSE for my routine backup chores (there's a freeware version
available), and to back up my entire system I rely heavily on Acronis True
Image (about $50 US) to image my entire hard drive(s) on a regular basis.
Then it's 20 minutes and I'm back up and running! :)
