Need to find original version of XP using product key code

I have a Dell latitude laptop and it was given to me with no OS. I had
someone from my old work look at it and he said that he was able to make an
installation CD by using my product key code and finding my original version
of XP. Well, the computer has crashed again, and i dont have the disc and
would like to re-install windows like he did, i just cant find out how to do
this????

Contact Dell and ask them to ship you replacement Recovery disks.
Only a small $ charge will be involved.
