I need to create a base calender in Access. Right now I have a 24 hour clock
but would like to change it to a 16 hour per day clock. I would like to not
incluce 11pm to 7am. I do not want 168 hours per week but 80 instead.

Which version of Access?

Where are you trying to do this? (?in a form, in a report, in a query,
....?)

A "base calendar" sounds more like a project management tool than a
relational database tool -- please describe what (not how) you are trying to
accomplish. That is, what will having a "base calendar" allow you to do?

Hi Jeff,

the base calendar will allow us to track our manufacturing lots in real
time. Right now the calendar was set up "normally." My job is to make it
exclude 11pm to 7am and to exclude weekend from 11pm to 7am monday. Right now
if we add a manufacturing item to the schedule we put in a start date for
example today 7/7/09, next i put in the customer's due date for example
8/1/09. right now database is calculating how long it will take us to make
the product but it is including 11pm to 7am and all weekends. my job is to
exclud those times.....

Sorry for the delay... no one else seems to have picked this up... If
you've solved this, consider posting how. Other folks may look for a
solution to this in the future...

I'm still having trouble envisioning where in Access you are trying to build
this calendar, and where you are trying to apply it.

.... and it still seems like you are trying to build a way to do something
that comes 'in the box' in project management software. Is there a reason
you aren't using PM tools?
