Need info on removing MMC and Catalyst drivers from XP SP1

I'd appreciate it if someone could point me to a site that gives
complete information on how to completely remove MMC and Catalyst
drivers from Windows XP SP1. If I try to remove them via the control
panel - add/remove programs, I get partial removals and a mess when I
try to install an updated MMC. I have an ATI AIW 8500 128 card.
