I got hit with the witty worm, on 3-20 and thought that I
could recover my Hp XP sys. but when I did, it said
somthing about ( laass.exe ) failed to initialize
properly, but it did a full recovery and now when it
starts it says ( stop coooo221 ) check sum image not the
same as computed, Ole32.dll may be corrupt. My recovery is
built in and I dont have a disk to reset user data, So it
wont boot up.
Any help would be apprecated.

Sounds like an H/P,if it is you need to do a destructive
restore,not recovery.Backup your data,start your
computer, pumping the F10 key while it starts It will
bring up your recovery screen.Check through to
destructive restore, that takes you to the portion of your
harddrive where XP is STORED,Recovery(recover your system)
Destructive Restore(resets it back like the first time
you turned it on).You may have to download a patch from
H/P ,if it's an H/P. To start it up if it doesn't start
up,you can get a patch from www.hp.com (look for restore
patch from your modle # ) load it on a floppy, and put it
in at boot-up.You probably won't need it.But if it don't
start afterwards you'll know what to do.If that don't
work, you'll need to call the manufacturer and have them
mail you a copy,(think H/P wants 10 bucks for shipping
and handling).I've had problems on the kids
computers, with viruses from computer games and
destructive restore worked just fine.
