Need Help with Table Design

I have a table that was created by someone else. Here is the layout:

Number Comments Date

With the info showing up as:

1033 It's raining today 06/22/05
1033 Snowed Tday 05/23/04
1033 Its Hot 03/24/03
1034 Whatever 04/14/04

Should I change the table design to:

Number Comment1 Date1 Comment2 Date2 Comment3 Date3
1033 It's raining today 06/22/05 Snowed Today 05/23/04 etc.
1034 Whatever 04/14/04

I need this info to show up on a form (for Viewing only) in Date order.
Such as

Number 1033
Comments Comment1
Date Date1

Comments Comment2
Date Date2

and so on.

Should I change the table design or keep what I have?

Your table appears to be normalized.

Changing it the way you mention would be committing "spreadsheet" on your
database, and would be wrong.

You have a classic one-to-many relationship. Each "number" has more than
one "comment" added to a related table.

Your database is correct.
