I've been trying to use the rate() function in a query, but it doesn't seem
to be working. I enter the appropriate factors as prompted, but my result is
always #Error.

Can anyone help me figure out why this built-in doesn't work or is there an
alternative I can use? I really need to figure this out to get on with a
project I'm working on.

Thanks in Advance

Gee... you posted the exact question (using a different name) on the
19th and received 2 answers. Both indicated you did not post the exact
expression you used.

Again, in this message, you did not give any specific useful
information.

You'll most likely not get a usable answer unless you supply usable
information.
Oh, yes. Posting the same question (slightly re-written) twice within
a few minutes is not going to prod anyone into wanting to help you.

Good luck.

Hi fredg,

The postings were not an attempt to PROD anyone!

I appreciate your comment and apologize for the frustration, but quite
honestly this discussion site was not functioning properly and that's the
reason for all the posts I made. For some reason, I was posting questions
and I checked back over a two-day period, but they did not appear to be
posting so I gave up.

In looking for insight on another issue today (days later), I see that my
questions did eventually post and that you offered to assist. You will note
that I made the effort to reply to everyone who offered assistance,
explaining how the situation came about. I find this forum quite helpful and
didn't want anyone to feel I was ignoring them or wasting anyone's time.

Perhaps a lesson for everyone is NOT TO ASSUME this site is working properly
for all who may try to use it before you scold them.

Thank you:)
