NEED HELP WITH EXCEL FORMULA

Dan A.

NEED HELP WITH THE FOLLOWING FORUMLA. i WANT TO TAKE THE SUM OF A1 MINUS A2
AND ADD 11 TO THE ANSWER. THIS ASSUMES THAT A1 IS GREATER THAN A2. IF
HOWEVER A2 IS LARGER THAN A1, I WANT TO TAKE A2 MINUS A1 AND ADD 11 TO THE
ANSWER. OBVIOUSLY THERE IS A VARIABLE THAT MUST BE LOOKED AT FIRST, IS A1
LARGER THAN A2, OR IS A2 LARGER THAN A1. CAN YOU GIVE ME THE CORRECT
FORMULA TO ENTER TO SOLVE THAT VARIABLE?

Dan,

Turn the caps lock off, it makes things difficult to read and is considered
to be shouting.

In it's long form

=(MAX(A1,A2)-MIN(A1,A2))+11

or

=ABS(A1-A2)+11

Try

=MAX(A1:A2)-MIN(A1:A2)+11

PS: Please avoid upper case letters which is difficult to read///

If this post helps click Yes

Give this formula a try...

=ABS(A1-A2)+11

By the way... your Caps Lock key appears stuck... you should really get that
fixed.
