need help with admin profile

S

stacy

I have been having trouble with pop-up windows
spontaneously spawing and installing .exe files on my
hard drive. A friend suggested I log in with a user
account rather than the admin that I had been using. I
changed my account to a user account, figuring that the
password that I had would still work on my admin account.
WRONG! I cannot login as admin now for a lack of a
password that works. I own a small business (from my one
little computer) and need to upload current tax tables
for MYOB (accounting software) in order to process
payroll. I cannot do this until I login as Admin... I
cannot install ANY software at this point as a user.
HELP!

Reboot tapping F8 each second.
Select Safe Mode at menu.
Login as Administrator.
Then go to User Accounts in Control Panel.
Select the user and Change Account Type.
