Need help moving a worksheet to another workbook.

PM Gal

When I select the worksheet to be moved and to the Edit menu and click- Move
or Copy Sheet- the workbook to which I want to move the worksheet doesn't
appear in the To BOX , eventhough I have the receiving workbook open. What
must I do to have the new workbook listed in the TO BOX so I can complete the
worksheet's move?

Perhaps you have each workbook open in its own instance of Excel?

Close one instance and open both workbooks in a single instance.

Close one of the instances of excel.

Then in the remaining running instance, use File|Open to open the 2nd workbook.

Do you know for sure you have two instances running?

Close one of them then in the other, File>Open and select a file to open the
second file.

Now both will be in a single instance.

To prevent in the future try the usual fix.

Tools>Options>General Uncheck "Ignore Other Applications"

If no joy with that................

Close Excel first and On the Windows Taskbar

1) Start>Run "excel.exe /unregserver"(no quotes)>OK.
2) Start>Run "excel.exe /regserver"(no quotes)>OK.

See the space between exe and /regserver

You might have to designate a full path to excel.exe.

In that case Start>Run "C:\yourpath\excel.exe" /regserver(quotes
required)>OK.
