need help for Age of Empires:Conquerors playing on Zone MSN

I need to know why I cannot play AOE:Conquerors online at Zone MSN.

Internet:
I am using cable internet. My provider is Charter communications

http://www.charter.com/site/pagenot...ww.charter.com/products/internet/internet.asp

Router:
I am using a Linksys BEFSR41

At Zone:
I can get into a room where it shows who's going to get launched to
the game. Once the host launches, I wait a minute or two having the
screen say "setting up multiplayer", then I get a "Unable to join" on
the screen eventually. It takes me back to room where it shows who's
going to get launched to the game. I have opened ports and have
searched for numerous possibilities. This is probably my last resort.
If you know of anything that can help me (sites/whatever) please let
it be known to me.

Thank you all.

Hi Josher,

Does the game work when you disconnect the router?

I used to be able to play AOE:Conquerors with my dial-up. Once I started
using my router and cable internet, it wouldn't allow me to play.

Hi Josher,

Test the game without the router to be sure it works, then call up LINKSYS
and ask them to either setup a "DMZ" to bypass the built-in firewall, or open the
necessary ports in the equipment with you...Here's the List of all Ports used by
Zone and DX Games: http://mvps.org/nibblesnbits/PortRoute.html#ports

Trigger Type TCP
Public Ports 2300-2400, 28800-29000
