Hello

I have a folder that contains aroun 1000 user profiles, as administrator I
have no permission to the main profile folder ,

I would like to know how from he command line to take ownership of all these
folders and then I will 'hopefully' use cacls to obatain permission before
deleting the folders

thanks

You might look into the delprof utility as explained in the KB below assuming you
want to try and delete all the profiles on the computer.

Otherwise look into using subinacl and xcalcs as described in the links below.
Subinacl can be used to take ownership from the command line. Just be sure to try
these utilities on a test folder first and do a full backup before using on the
production machine just in case things do not go as planned. --- Steve
