need help deleting some files

I am running XP service pack 2 and I had a problem when I uninstalled
acrobat 8.0. I have 5 files remaining in the adobe folder - identity-h,
identity-v, ucs2-gbk-euc, uniks-utf16-h and uniks-utf16-v.

I am unable to delete these files - I receive the error message -
access is denied. They are read only files and I am unable to change
their attributes. I tried deleting them in safe mode and I tried in
safe mode with command prompt but that didn't work either.

I checked the registry and found noting when I searched on acorbat 8 or
the 5 file names.

How can I get rid of these files?
