Need good-quality voice modem

I want to use a modem as an answering machine, a phone call recorder, and
maybe a call center-style menu system.

My last modem had really bad voice quality. What internal modems specialize
in good voice quality, or what modems have you had experience with that have
really good voice quality?

Also, is there a better forum in which I could ask this question, either
here on support.microsoft.com, or on some other site?
