I installed the game Need for speed 2 and when i
launched it i got the error message "Please insert the
correct CD ROM,select OK and restart application" even
though the CD is still in the CD ROM, does it have to do
with drivers or hardware, since i have directx installed
in there already.
Thank You

Is it a real game cd, or did you download it and burn it? That message
usually appears on a downloaded/burned game that hasn't been cracked
correctly.

I also seen that happen when the cd was scratched. Try it in a friends
machine to eliminate the cd as the source of the problem.

Have you tried the EA support? Try this link and do a search.

Older versions of NSF have problems seeing the CD if you have 2 atapi
devices installed in your computer, and then even once you disable one
CD drive and your NFS CD is recognized, it's will still be hit or miss
whether it will actually play. Good Luck.
