Need drivers...

Does anyone either know how to stop my IE from not downloading Active X
scripts (I can't live update, because it says it wont download the Active X)
or where I can get the latest drivers for:

NVIDIA RIVA TNT2 Model 64/Model 64 Pro

Yes I know it's old and not very good, but it's all I have. I had to
reinstall it, and now I need to get the latest drivers. I tried the
manufactorer's site, and yahoo, but I got nothing. Any help?

I tried that, it said:

"The NVIDIA setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible
with your current hardware. Setup will now exit."

Any ideas? I appreciate the help.

Chris, this seems to be the right driver:

http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_71.89.html

Click on the "Products supported" link in the Additional Info panel on
the left to double-check me :) but it looked to me to be the one for
your card.

Hope this helps.

Ahh this looks to be the one! Thank you so much.

You're very welcome.

P.S. Chris, for the update problem, try:

In IE go to Tools, Internet Options and click on the Security tab.
In the box at the top that shows the various zones, click on Internet.
Then go to the Security Level for This Zone section and click on the
button Default Level.

If Default Level is grayed out: move the slider on the left to the top,
High, setting, and the Default Level button will become active again.

Click on Apply and OK to exit.

That hopefully should do it. . . if not, please post back and we'll have
another go :)

I did exactly as you said. The default level was 'Medium' but that did not
solve the problem. Thanks though.

Okay. . . in that case it sounds as though the ActiveX components are
unsigned. In order to be able to allow those, you have to put the site
in your Trusted Zone, then set advanced options. So:

In IE go to Tools, Internet Options and click on Security tab. In the
box showing the zones, click on Trusted Sites.

Click the Sites button, add the name of the site in the Add box, click
the Add button, then OK to close.

Back in the Trusted Sites dialog, click on Custom Level. In the list
that appears set the 1st and 3rd options for ActiveX to Enable, and the
4th to Prompt.

OK your way out and try the site again.

There is one problem...I tried that before, but the thing is, the Liveupdate
was an icon that I clicked to get to the update site, but instead of an
actual site, it was:

C:\Program Files\MSI\LiveUpdate\MSI.htm

I can't add that to the safe list, any ideas?

Right! Let's try this:

In IE Tools > Internet Options > Security. In the Zones box click on
Local Intranet.

In Security level for this zone click the button for Custom Level. Set
the first 7 options all to Enable, and OK your way out.

See if that does it. :)

(Note: If it works, you might want to set the security settings back to
Default afterwards.)
