Need device driver for Panasonic camcorder DV910D

I have a Panasonic camcorder, Model DV910D, whith 1394
Firewire PC interface. It was supported by and worked
fine with "Win 98SE" and "Win ME". I have upgraded to a
new computer with "Win XP Home" I have determined by "MS
Knowledge Base Article - 300459" that (6)Panasonic
Camcorders are supported by Drivers that are included in
Windows XP, but "DV910" is not listed and this must be my
problem. My camcorder is only (4) years old. Someone!
Please Help! Panasonic is of no service!!

try installing the software on the supplied CD - it is supposed to have
drivers for 2000/XP.

What CD? No CD came w/camcorder and win XP is O.E.M.
installed. I get an error msg. that tells me to insert SP-
1 cd, but all SP-1 has been installed vie internet and is
up to date! Thanks for the quick response!

When it asks for the XP CD, point it at the c:\Windows\ServicePackFiles\i386
folder

Cari, thanks but a window comes up pointing to the i386
file but cannot find it. I beleive my trouble is due to a
missing driver. If possible, look up the article that I
mentioned about XP not supplying a driver for my
camcorder model.

When I do a search for msdv.sys, it's found in:
C:\Windows\Driver Cache\i386
and
C:\Windows\System32\Drivers

When I connect my camcorder, I get a New Hardware Found
msg and then I get a "Files Needed" window which says
.....................................................
"The file '61883.sys' on Windows XP Home Edition Service
Pack-1 CD is needed."

"Type the path where the file is located and click OK."
..........................................................
It gives the option of entering the path or browsing.
The paths you have mentioned are refused.

I have performed numerous searches for '61883.sys' but to
no avail!
There is an 'i386' folder in several locations, namely:
C:\
C:\Windows\
C:\Windows\Driver Cache\
C:\Program Files\PC-Doctor\
C:\Windows\System32\

Hey i hav just bought a panasonic pv-dv910 and wondering if any of u hav got the drvers?
