Need Best Practices, SMS Deployment Info - Please Help

Hello,

Trying to put together a document for my company with a
plan to roll this out. I am having trouble finding
whitepapers and best practice info. I would like to find
out what level of control over options we have and if it's
possible to roll it out with SMS. Any links or info will
be appreciated. Thanks!

Best practice at this point is:

The story on control of setting has been to make up an install with the
settings you want in place and then force them by copying the .gcd file in
which they live. Not something I would want to try in real life over a
significant size/complexity organization.

This application is still in early beta format and is only designed for
standalone use at this time.

If and when a corporate version is tested and released, then I'm sure
you will be able do the necessary work to provide a plan for using MSAS.

In the meantime you have:

Webroot's Spysweeper
CA's PestPatrol
SunbeltSoftware's CounterSpy

These all provide Enterprise capabilities. I would look at Counterspy.

Thanks for the responses. My manager is hesitant to roll
something out that is still in Beta anyway & I agree.
We'd like to see some sort of upgrade path from this beta
to another beta or commercial product before doing so.
