Need a graphic of a special design

I know this is off topic, but this is where I hang out, so I thought I would start by asking here.

I need a picture that has pixels coloured black, then white, then black, etc.
The second row follows the same pattern, but offset by one, to give a checkerboard design

i.e.

Any file format will do, although .bmp is my preference. I hope to end up with this repeated to give a file that is sized about 1600 x 1200 pixels.

Any ideas on how to achieve this?

Get a graphics program and use that. BMP is much too large to use on
the web. Use GIF.

How big do you want the squares?

How many pixels? one black one white? it would look gray I think.
Graphics program would be the best way.

My preference is pixel by pixel, i.e. one pixel black, next white, then
black again.

I don't know how to do that in a grahics program.

Thanks,
Jane.

You are not going to see 1 pixel x 1 pixel. See the attached.

You are welcome!

If you have MS Image Composer v1.5 (included with FP98 & FP2000 Standalone), you can create the
image in 2 seconds as black & White or any color you want.
