NAV vs. SP2 firewall

when i turned on NAV (norton internet security) firewall, I can't open
anything. messenger andd IE and even the toolbars aren't coming out. then i
turned it off (and change to SP2 firewall) and everything works just fine.
anyone knows what's the problems? thx

Probably you don't have the NIS firewall configured correctly. You have
to allow those programs to access the Internet. Look in the NIS
Firewall's settings or read the Help file. Also you should use one or
the other - not both the Windows Firewall and the NIS Firewall. Perhaps
you had them both on? Try turning off the Windows Firewall and letting
the NIS Firewall run (it's a better firewall).
