NAV at a Discount?

I really get tired of paying $25 for an update to NAV. I believe I've seen it from
time to time at Staples for about $10 with a coupon. Anyone know where to get this
update cheap. I'm really considering flying without this package though. I am really
scrupulous about what I open or let into my system. I am not a MS OE or IE user.

Purchase a corporate version, it costs a little more, but they don't
expire every year, in fact, I've got some 7.6 versions (on 9 now) that
have been getting updates for more than 3 years.

One last thing - never run a Windows computer without updated AV
software, even if you have to switch to something like AVG Free version.

I discovered an upside to letting my subscription lapse. I used to get two warning
messages every time I logged in from NAV about something it didn't like in my
systerm. I believe this odd behaviour of NAV was actually instituted by Symantec when
it incorrectly updated the program. I was never able to rid my system of it despite
the instructions on their web site. Good riddance.

A smarter option would be to get rid of Norton and to use another AV.
AVG, Kapersky, and plenty of others offer either free updates or fair
pricing. It is a matter of choice, but you are at a crossroad, make the
"right" turn!

I recently discovered that Majorgeeks has Norton virus
signature updates.

I recently discovered that Majorgeeks has Norton virus

So does CNET but it doesn't matter if your subscription to NAV has
given out. You can not update the definitions if the subscription has
expired. Only the corporate versions of NAV will continue to update
the definitions as they do not expire.

Thanks for the clarification. I don't use NAV, I just
happened to see the update listed.

Where does one get the corporate version? I didn't see it at Staples today, but I
didn't look real hard.

You need to buy it from an reseller which handles corporate accounts. Some
stores may be able to custom order it for you.
