Microsoft has faced criticism for changing the pop-up box encouraging Windows users to upgrade to Windows 10. Clicking the red cross on the right hand corner of the pop-up box now activates the upgrade instead of closing the box.

And this has caused confusion as typically clicking a red cross closes a pop-up notification
The upgrade could still be cancelled, when the scheduled time for it to begin appeared said Microsoft?

All this by MS prior to 29th July deadline or a genuine mistake??

I just wonder why they're so keen to get as many as possible to use Win 10, to the extent of giving it away and trying to force it upon people.

Something dark and devious going on for sure.

I have an oldish PC which is used only for crunching. When I checked it last night I was greeted with " We have upgraded your PC to Windows 10".

Cheeky b*****s ! Not so much as a by your leave !

Luckily I' ve just converted my main rig to Win 10, so at least I know now how to operate it, so I've left it on.

I too fear something very dark and devious.
