Nascar 2003 recieving "2:Error Detected on Netwok Device"

I am running Win XP Home.. I have a radeon 8500, pen4, SB
Live and using a MOMO wheel.

I recieved an error when I try to join a race on any
server I keep getting the same error msg..

"2:Error detected on Network Device"

this happens no matter what server I try to join...and if
I host...no one can get in they say it just keeps timing
out.
I have completely performed the following tasks:
Rebooted (5 times)
Reset modem (5times)
DISABLED any and all firewalls and anti-virus programs
used ENDITALL to kill unused processes.
uninstalled- rebooted- reinstalled game
and even tried deleting/uninstalling network device then
installing new.

After all these tasks...still no luck. I was able to
reboot 1 time yesterday and it went away i joined 3 races.
but now...It wont go away...I dont have a clue on what or
where to fix...PLEASE HELP..I MISS RACING ALREADY

PROBLEM FIXED...
DONT KNOW WHAT i DID....OR DIDNT DO...BUT ITS WORKING
AGAIN ..I DOWNLOADED THE SP1...AND INSTALLED OTHER
UPDATES FROM WINDOWS....IT MAY HAVE BEEN SOMETHING IN
THOSE THAT CURED IT

Hi Charlie,

Unplug power and remove all networking hardware connected
to your system. Power it up again without it installed in order
to completely uninstall the devices (network adapters) from the
system. Reinstall in another slot, and do not discount that the
cable, the modem or the adapter may have become faulty.. it's
happened to quite a few others before. Test them on another
system if you can get access to one. However, just creating a
new network connection may be sufficient. One parting thought
would be to uninstall the firewall and antivirus programs to be
100% certain that they're not causing this issue. If you stopped
any services such as UPnP etc., Start them up again. Good luck!
