NAS and a .pst

I want to get a NAS at home for the sole purpose and being able to view my 3
IMAP email accounts with my .pst file from either my desktop or laptop.
Neither will be open at the same time. Does anyone have success viewing .pst
over a NAS ?

This isn't a problem with the NAS device. Outlook opens the file for
exclusive access and this why you can't start the other 2 when Outlook is
open on machine 1.

Are you saying I could mount a SAN drive on both computers, and as long as
neither computer is on at the same time, I can connect to the same .pst on
either computer and have decent performance? My .pst is 500MB, although I
could get it in the 50-75 mb range.

Only one instance of Outlook, not computer ;-)

Note that connecting to a pst-file on a networkshare isn't supported or
recommended by Microsoft.

I read a handful of posts in usenet archives about problems, but hardly
anything mentioned. I would think this issue would have more posted on it
if people were truly having issues.
