Napster 2.0 and System Restore Points

After installing Napster 2.0, all my old system restore points vanished, my
DVD burner is not recognized no matter what I do, and a small, previously
hidden FAT partition is now visible. Others have reported the same exact
behavior after installing Napster 2.0. Uninstalling Napster 2.0 doesn't
work.

Question: any one know how to get the old restore points back?

They are gone forever. There is no way - unless perhaps a data recovery company (expensive)?

FYI, I did not know this thing consistently happened (past tense) before I
installed. Why would anyone install this with prior knowledge of such
problems? I only found others were having this problem AFTER I had the
problem. It confirmed my situation wasn't unique. Perhaps I'm not
understanding the thrust of your comment?
