Name for Current or Open mail not in folders is it a .pst file nam

Hello,
Is there a default name for the outlook file that contains the current mail?
I have .pst names applied to all of my folders, but am not sure that I have
been able to identify the file for the open or mail not put into folders.

Usually all your folder are in one PST file, not one per folder. Typically
the file is called Outlook.PST or something similar. Have you searched your
hard drive for all PST files (including in hidden folders)?

You can see the locations and display names of your linked pst-files by
going to;
File-> Data File Management...
