My cheapie free virus scanner missed a trojan keylogger on a machine on my
home network, which has been picked up and removed by my 'proper' AV. I've
re-scanned the machine with the Trend Micro online scan incl. spyware, & it
comes up clean. However, I now have an Outlook problem.
After 5 minutes or so, Outlook starts by itself while the user is working in
any other program. A (random?) keystroke will invoke Outlook. The behavior
gets worse, with eventually almost every keystroke starting Outlook again.
Workaround is to leave Outlook running in the background, but this is hardly
satisfactory.
Am I looking at registry editing, & if so, where?
Can't find any untoward processes running either...
OS- Win2kSP4
Thanks everyone
P.S. I'm pretty sure the trojan was in an Omega ATI video driver package.
