Mystery Pictures when I go to Print a Fax?

J

Justin

I had to use the Microsoft Fax under Windows XP. I went to print out
the fax I just sent and it brought up the normal Print Pictures procedure.
Like this:
Printers & Faxes -> Fax (double click) -> Sent Items and I double
clicked on the fax I sent.
It brought up the WIndows Picture and fax viewer.
I hit the little print icon at the bottom and it brought up the window
to check off all the pictures I want to print. I see my fax which is a
TIFF, and then there are a bunch of other pictures that are familiar but
have been deleted and backed up onto CD a while ago. Why are they
appearing there? how can I delete them?

..tif images have the option of multiple pages.
Your fax software may be reusing the same default name, and saving
subsequent faxes as pages in the default tif name. when printing all the
pages are displayed, perhaps

Sounds like you're going about it in the wrong way. To print copies of
previously sent faxes, including cover pages if needed, start by opening the Fax
Console. Select the fax of your choice from the Sent Items folder then press the
enter key. Print from the window presented.

If you're looking at a .tiff file, it's probably the one that you scanned in but
it's not the file that was faxed out. The outgoing files are just in the .tif
format.

Suspect you haven't cleaned out the Temporary Internet Files folder in a
while. See Internet Options, General tab, Delete Files button.
